Emma qualified as a physiotherapist in 2005, spending 3 years as a rotational physiotherapist where she gained a breadth and depth of medical knowledge in respiratory, neurology, elder care, orthopaedics, ITU, surgical and musculoskeletal (MSK) medicine. She then worked in orthopaedics covering trauma, elective and day case surgeryfor 3 years before specialising in musculoskeletal physiotherapy. Since 2012, Emma has worked for various NHS providers, and spent 5 years at the Duchy hospital in Truro. During this time, she participated in both knee and shoulder special interest groups, specialised in ACL, pre and post-op rehab including spinal surgery, and hand rehab. During Covid she was seconded to work in fracture clinic and a minor injuries unit and then in 2020 went on to become a registered First Contact Practitioner in primary care, honing her diagnostic and safety netting skills and her knowledge of patient pathways. She currently works in the NHS and at JB Physio.

Emmaalso has a psychology degree, is a qualified sports massage therapist, western medical acupuncturist,BAHT hand therapist, and yoga teacher. She takes a holistic approach and likes to make sure that her clients understand what is going on in their bodies, and that they leave a session feeling in control, with a treatment plan in place. Treatment options include soft tissue and joint mobilisation,exercise and movement prescription,acupuncture, postural adjustment,myofascial release,and education. Emma is passionate aboutmoving well, getting the most out of life, and encouraging resilience in others. Emma enjoys treating a wide range of problems.

Emma has a background in martial arts and competitive surfing but more recently practices yoga and surfs for fun. She has also dabbled in weight training, running, swimming, rugby, surf lifesaving, horse riding, and snowboarding.
